Join Rachel Ivy Clarke, Leah T. Dudak, and Abby Long to make a community quilt at the 2024 Syracuse Maker Faire! This year we collected data about what brings people joy. Attendees cut shapes that represent how joy feels to them and added it to our quilt. Throughout the day, the colors changed, so we could also collect data about traffic and interactions at the Maker Faire. When completed, we will have a unique quilt that represents joy in our community!
After the event, Abby, Leah and Rachel worked together to complete the finishing touches. Our collaborative community quilt finished at 14 feet long and won 1st place in the Group Quilts category at the 2025 New York State Fair!
